DRIVING LICENCE

No vehicle will be handed over without valid and acceptable driving credentials.For additional or international customers, a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) may be required where applicable, along with the original driving license/passport

IDENTITY DOCUMENT

Required identity documents — Aadhaar Card/Passport, Address Proof, Driving License.

AGE REQUIREMENT

Minimum age — 20.

SECURITY DEPOSIT

Either a fixed amount or “as applicable depending on the vehicle.

BOOKING AMOUNT

A booking amount/advance payment is required to confirm your vehicle reservation. The booking will be considered confirmed only after the required advance payment has been received.

FUEL POLICY

The vehicle will be handed over with a specified fuel level, which will be recorded at the time of vehicle handover. The customer is responsible for all fuel expenses during the rental period. The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as provided at the time of handover.

The rented vehicle must be driven only by an authorized driver with a valid driving licence. The vehicle must not be sub-rented, transferred, sold, or given to any unauthorized person. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited. Overloading, racing, towing, or using the vehicle for illegal activities is not permitted. Customers must not make unauthorized modifications or repairs to the vehicle. Any mechanical issue or warning light must be reported immediately. The customer is responsible for the vehicle and its keys throughout the rental period. Loss of keys, documents, accessories, or equipment may result in additional charges. Tolls, parking fees and other travel-related expenses are the customer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed. The company reserves the right to terminate the rental in case of misuse, violation of these terms, or unlawful activity. Availability of any particular vehicle is subject to confirmation at the time of booking.

Vehicle Handover

The vehicle will be handed over after verification of the customer’s valid driving licence, identity proof and required documents. The customer must inspect the vehicle and acknowledge its condition before taking possession. Any existing damage will be recorded at handover. The vehicle must be returned in the same condition, subject to normal wear and tear.

Vehicle Return

The vehicle must be returned at the agreed date, time and location in the same condition as received, subject to normal wear and tear. The customer must ensure all personal belongings are removed and the vehicle is returned with the agreed fuel level. Any applicable charges for damage, missing items, fuel shortage, traffic fines or late return will be deducted accordingly.

Fuel

Fuel is not included in the price, You are yourself responsible for all fuel cost during rental.

Mileage

Allowances may vary depending on the vehicle,rental duration,season,booking plan.

Traffic Fines

All traffic fines,challans,parking penalties,toll penalties and any other penalties arising from the customer's use of the vehicle during rental period are the customer's responsibility .

Damage

The customer is responsible for damage to the vehicle occurring during their rental period where the damage results from their use, negligence, misuse, or violation of the rental terms.

Accidents

In the event of an accident, collision or damage, the customer must immediately inform Kashmir Self Drive and provide all relevant details. The customer should not leave the vehicle unattended or arrange major repairs without contacting us, except where necessary to protect life or prevent further damage.

Late Return

Up to 1 hour late: Grace period / no charge. 3 hours late: 40% of the daily rental rate. More than 6 hours late: Full additional day’s rental. Late return may also affect the next booking, so that the additional charges may apply for losses caused by unauthorized delay.

Cancellation & Refunds

Customers may cancel their booking before the scheduled pickup time. Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance may receive a refund, while cancellations within 48 hours or no-shows may be non-refundable. If the company cancels due to vehicle unavailability, the customer will receive a full refund. Refunds will be processed to the original payment method.
